Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Departure from Quito, Machachi, or Latacunga by private car to the parking area located at 4,600 meters above sea level. A short hike of approximately one hour will take us to the Jose Rivas Refuge (4862 m), where we will check our equipment. Dinner and rest will follow.
HIKE: 1 Hour, Elevation Gain: 260 m

Day 2 - Cotopaxi Summit
Departure at midnight, depending on mountain conditions and individual fitness levels. We will attempt the summit, crossing snow bridges and navigating beautiful snow walls that make for a photogenic experience. Reaching the summit of this beautiful volcano takes between 6 and 7 hours. Here, we can observe some of the highest peaks in the country. Upon returning to the refuge, breakfast will be waiting before we head back to the parking area, where our transportation will be waiting to take us to Baños for a rest.
Hike 7/9 Hours Positive elevation gain 1035m. Negative elevation gain 1297m.
